NEIGHBORHOOD PSYCHOS. ALIEN REPAIRBEINGS. THE BAD, THE WORSE AND THE TERMINALLY UGLY. WELCOME TO THE CHARACTER GALLERY

CLONEHUNTER MELCHIOR

A subcity freak with a taste for bloodshed and bubblegum, Melchior was saved from exile as a juve gangster by Emmanuel Lancaster, the Arch-Biotect. Melchior's furious hatred of clones was born when Aryan 'Purebreds' purged his hab-block, killing his gang brothers. At only 5ft 3 he's a tiny little death machine, and both of his swords are taller than he is! Melchior prefers to use blades rather than bullets as it gives his work the 'personal touch'.

MAGUS VERLAINE

One of the inner cabal of the Ashishim, Verlaine is more machine than human, a Wetsystems hacker of terrifying skill. He's less than utterly loyal to his Lord Illuminatus though; Verlaine sells information to the Elysian Government in return for an ever-growing retirement fund. He means to buy back the flesh he gave up to become a Magus, and live out his days as a wealthy subcity Libertine. His peculiar knack for subverting Cyben singles him out for pride of place in the Ashishim hierarchy.

ZONE DOUBT

The tuberunners of Elysium are sneak-thieves and infiltrators, slipping through the ducts and pipes of the Last City to raid the upper domes. The Hierarchs hardly use the high halls of Elysium any more, but their 'Assember' nanoprinters still function, a hot source for illicit tech. Tuberunners are a skilled elite, and Zone Doubt was one of them - a hotshot juve from down in Valley View. That is, until he slipped... now he's  a slave to Kronos, powering a missile-platform mekan.

 OCTAVIO ASCHER

The undisputed kingpin of Elysian broadcasting; mogul and master of the Pitfight Leagues, political schemer and failed usurper of the great aristocratic Game of death. His body was torn apart when he gambled and lost in that savage contest... but even as a ruined cyborg construct he has enough ambition and ruthlessness to bring Elysium to its knees...Direktor Ascher was the last-born of eight sons, and swore at an early age that he'd escape from the grinding poverty of the deep subcity - or die trying.

KATAPHRAKT-ADMIRAL YRR

The creatures of the Multiplicity all come from different worlds - sometimes even different dimensions - and are 'shunted' into custom-forged bodies designed for their appointed roles. Nobody remembers what form Kataphrakt Yrr used to take; he's risen through the ranks of the Mitochondriate fleet over the centuries to become one of the most calculating tacticians and warriors in the Praetor's Order of Battle.
